All you need to know:
Learn with a veteran drummer, playing the drums has been my full time passion since the age of five. I am a dedicated and passionate teacher, I love sharing my knowledge of the instrument and the broad range of music I love. I’ve been fortunate enough to have studied with some top grade players and teachers including the wonderful Mark Richardson of Skunk Anasie, and the technically masterful Ian Aguado-Bush from my younger days. Also including my fantastic lecturers and tutors at Solent University which encouraged me to follow this path after completing my music and performance degree. One to one drum lessons are held in the refined, professional (and very soundproof) GreenRoomStudios in Witney, Oxfordshire. Where we are able to really make some noise and smash some tubs! I consider myself a patient and attentive teacher, giving Individually paced learning and preparation for real world playing. Students will learn through encouragement. Goal orientated drum lessons. I am able to teach and prepare you for RSL grades if you wish through Rockschool (this also increases your UCAS points to enter university). My styles include: Metal, Rock, Pop, R&B, Funk, Reggae, Ska and the list goes on. I always develop a positive foundation for which I can apply to all styles. Always promoting good posture, correct technique and awareness of the importance of hearing protection for healthy drumming. Experienced with beginners and young students. Imparts values of musicality, tone, feel and technical proficiency. And firmly believes that everyone can be a good drummer if they are willing to learn and prepared to work.
Achievements
After a very long time already playing the drums, I have worked hard in the live music scene all over England, my main project has been my Metal band, 'Bloodshot' with which we have released a very successful EP and two singles, and have been playing gigs all over the country for some top notch bands for over 7 years. We have played for bands with the likes of 'KING-810' Who have had arena tours with the one and only Slipknot. My band has also played with Bloodshot Dawn, Evil Scarecrow, Ingested, Red Method, Krysthla, Hacktivist, Osiah and many more.
Out of the drum kit I have also worked as a lighting, sound and rigging technician for UB40, StatusQuo, Sub Focus, Kaiser Chiefs, Craig David, The Feeling and many more influential artists. Which has boosted all aspects around the drum kit as well as teaching it to really bring a sense of reality to my teaching. This will really help students go to where they want to go when learning from me. And I'm immensely proud of every student, gig, and artist I work with.
